Subcon 2014<\/a>, the UK\u2019s only exhibition dedicated to subcontract and contract manufacturing, returns to the NEC Birmingham from 3-5 June. PIF<\/a> has taken a look behind the scenes to give you a sneak preview of what to expect at this enormous free event.<\/p>\n

Summary of what to expect at Subcon 2014<\/h2>\n

Subcon is co-located with Advanced Manufacturing<\/a> and The Engineer Design & Innovation Show<\/a>. More than 300 exhibitors \u2013 including world-class suppliers and manufacturers form the worlds of machining, moulding, and fabrication (to name but a few) \u2013 will be on hand to showcase the latest manufacturing developments.<\/p>\n

The Engineer Conference will also unveil cutting edge manufacturing technology from established and emerging sectors, with keynote industry speakers and ‘show and tell’ technology seminars. Plus the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) will be extolling top-notch export advice at sessions within the Conference Programme, as well as hosting a stand at the show.<\/p>\n

Subcon 2014 is completely free to attend and registration is quick and simple. According to the website, Subcon offers you \u201cthe perfect opportunity to review manufacturing processes and costs, benchmark solutions and enhance business efficiency, under one roof.\u201d<\/p>\n

Subcon has doubled in size over the last five years and this year is expected to attract more than 4,000 visitors. \u201cLeading decision makers from all sectors come to Subcon to identify potential manufacturing partners and place business,\u201d they say.<\/p>\n

The Subcon Electronics Zone is new for 2014 to demonstrate the best in electronics design and manufacture and provide outsourcing solutions, with a veritable smorgasbord of new technologies and electronics specialists to interact with.<\/p>\n

You can foster meaningful international relationships at what Subcon calls ‘The National Pavilions,’ which will have confirmed representatives attending from Italy, Spain, France, China, Taiwan and Latvia.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, don’t miss the chance to see the unique BLOODHOUND SSC \u2013 Richard Noble’s new pet project \u2013 a vehicle that is gearing up to break the 1,000mph barrier and set a new world land speed record in the process. MENDI Metal Innovation Group (H32)<\/p>\n

MENDI Metal Innovation Group<\/a> is a company based in the Basque Country of Northern Spain that has amassed more than 50 years of experience producing complete hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical units for special purpose or applications. Their assemblies arrive pre-tested, painted and ready-to-install.<\/p>\n

MENDI GROUP excels in the inner machining of tubular parts, especially high precision machining (either inner and outer) of large size tubular parts. Their fabrication department works closely with the dedicated design team and a new business unit has acquired specialist welding and open die forging outfits to strengthen the group’s capabilities.<\/p>\n
