EDT is a nationwide charity, established in 1984 to engage young people in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), connecting educators with employers through tasters, projects and placements. We aim to create a skilled future workforce, delivering quality schemes to young people age 11 to 21, raising awareness of STEM.

EDT offers a wide portfolio of enrichment activities that help employers connect with local communities, to educate young people about opportunities available in STEM related industries, allowing employers to achieve business objectives, whilst giving educators various methods to inspire students and highlight various routes that can be taken into STEM.

EDT’s ‘Go4SET’ programme is a 10-week STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) project, offering young people age 12-14 the opportunity to develop skills, inform career choice and shift perceptions about STEM, raising awareness of how studying these subjects can lead to a rewarding career. Students will develop their project management, communication and team-working skills, as well as being taken beyond the curriculum to learn about project and time management, presentation skills and report writing skills.
