New IMI Norgren electronic pressure sensors with IO-Link capability

IMI Norgren has expanded its range of pressure sensors with the addition of two new IO-Link pressure sensors. Their 54D and 34D Electronic Pressure Sensors offer quick installations, simplified set up, user-friendly operation and accurate performance data capture. PIF explores the various features of these brand-new IMI Norgren pressure sensor products.

New IMI Norgren electronic pressure sensors

IMI Norgren’s new 54D and 34D Electronic Pressure Sensors can be used to automatically monitor pressure levels in a pneumatic system or for more complex monitoring functions in water, hydraulic or other fluid applications.

These newly launched pressure sensors will replace IMI Norgren’s existing range of three sensors, providing a number of operational benefits, including ease of installation and speedy set up times via push buttons or remotely via IO-Link connectivity.

IMI Norgren also claims that these advanced new IO-Link pressure sensors will support accurate application performance data capture and offer complete ease of use when in operation.

54D Electronic Pressure Sensor

The IMI Norgren 54D Electronic Pressure Sensor offers engineers a simple set up and ease of operation. Its robust, compact and lightweight design makes it ideally suited to monitoring general vacuum and compressed air applications up to 16 bar.

In addition, this new pressure sensor features optional differential pressure sensing. This means, for example, that the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of a filter can be monitored, informing engineers in advance of maintenance being needed.

34D Electronic Pressure Sensor

Capable of handling pressure ranges from vacuum up to 600 bar, the IMI Norgren 34D Electronic Pressure Sensor is housed in a robust stainless steel body, making it ideal for operation in harsh and aggressive process control environments.

In addition, the 34D option features 18 part number variants and IO-Link connectivity as standard, making it the ideal solution for engineering customers seeking a flexible, data-driven solution.

The design of the 34D Electronic Pressure Sensor incorporates an angled display for easier visibility and operation. Furthermore, installation is made easier thanks to a rotatable body for easy alignment of the display.

Both the IMI Norgren 54D and 34D pressure sensors are also supported by a range of mounting brackets, a flange adaptor and cables for the ultimate installation convenience.

’Fast and flexible’ electronic pressure sensor installations

Andrew Gibson, Product Marketing Manager for IMI Precision Engineering, said: “We are delighted to introduce our new electronic pressure sensor options. As well as the connectivity benefits of IO-Link, we believe our customers will welcome the new range’s fast and flexible installation and set-up capability and the ease of use when in operation.

“Together with supporting accessories, IMI Precision Engineering provides a true one stop shop for pressure sensor requirements,” he added.
