Connectors with anti-vibration locking mechanism

Perfect contacts, a good seal and environmental resistance are basic requirements for all connector types. Motor connections require additional special features including wide connector cross sections, high performance in a very compact design and, most important, an integrated anti-vibration locking mechanism to make sure the connector stays tight even when exposed to very strong vibrations. Murrelektronik offers connection technology that meets all these requirements.

MQ15-X-Power connector for IP67 applications

Murrelektronik’s MQ15-X-Power range is a low-cost way to provide connectivity to asynchronous and three phase electric motors up to 7.5 Kw. The new M15 connection technology of the MQ15-X-Power offers extremely quick and easy motor connectivity with reverse polarity protection for asynchronous motors up to 7.5 kW. The connector has three power contacts rated at 630 V AC/DC up to 16A, PE and two auxiliary contacts 63 V AC/DC up to 10A.

Over-moulded plugs ensure the connector is sealed to IP67 (when mated) and eliminates the risk of wiring errors. Additionally, the MQ15 X Power range includes M20 bulk head connectors. Meaning connectors can be simply mounted on the motor terminal box (often using the knockout provided by the motor manufacturer) and tightened down using the back nut provided. MQ15 X Power is ideal for applications where quick and easy disconnection and re-connection of motors is required.

M23-Drive connector for servo motors

Murrelektronik's M23-Drive range is an established standard solution to connect servo motors. The M23-Drive range, offers the most powerful eight pole M23 connector on the market. With 630V AC/DC, 28A per pin for the power contacts and 300V AC/DC 8A for the signal contacts, the connectors are suitable for high performance drives and servo motors. The 360° shielding also ensures very low interference emissions.

The M23 connector features a high-quality locking mechanism that ensures sealed connections even when exposed to oils and lubricants. The hexagonal locking nut can be tightened to the correct torque using the Murrelektronik torque wrench, and a coding arrow on the housing offers a practical installation aid. Flexible corrugated conduit for cable protection can be anchored to the connector by the integrated push-on conduit connection. High-quality, original Siemens cables are an additional strong point of Murrelektronik's M23-Drive connectivity range.

M12 Power connector

Completing the range, Murrelektronik’s M12 Power connector is the most compact and powerful five pole M12 connector on the market. The compact design of the L coded M12 Power connector – together with a rating of 63 V AC/DC, 16 A per contact – makes it ideal for applications where a high current and low voltage is required, such as linear drives, brushless DC or stepper motors.

The five core PUR cable has a wire cross section of 1.5 mm².  Flexible corrugated conduit for cable protection can be anchored at the connecter by means of the integrated push-on conduit connection. The Murrelektronik M12 Power product range includes M12 Power connectors to open ended wires; connection cables with M12 Power male and female connectors; bulkhead connectors and adapters, offering a large number of installation options.
