International Petroleum Week 2015

The theme of International Petroleum Week 2015 is “Strategies for the changing oil and gas landscape.” In a UK general election year, and amidst continuing global political uncertainty, the role of oil and gas in sustaining society and economic growth has been brought in to sharp focus. The need for the industry to plan for an uncertain future has become ever more acute.

The IP Week 2015 programme provides a platform to debate, discuss and share knowledge on how to address current issues. Over the three conference days, roundtables and breakout sessions, there will be a firm focus on global industry affairs, with a new slant looking at the US and Latin America. The Middle East, Russia and the CIS, Africa and the Asia-Pacific regions also remain key areas of interest. Perhaps more than ever with the dramatic events unfolding in Iraq, Syria and Ukraine.

IP Week 2015 will also provide its usual series of networking opportunities. Notably, the IP Week Dinner welcomes Ben Van Beurden, Chief Executive Officer of Royal Dutch Shell, as Guest of Honour. Meanwhile, the IP Week Drinks Reception and IP Week Lunch, sees Andrew Austin, CEO of IGas Energy guest, and will also offer insights from other leading industry figures. It also provides an opportunity to share experiences and views with fellow oil and gas professionals in an informal, yet stimulating environment.
